Ice Thickness Gauge

This device, when lowered through a borehole and then pulled upward, will bridge across the hole at the bottom of the ice. The supporting measurement tape is then read to provide the ice thickness. A tug on the tape will collapse the gauge for retrieval.

Tape measure reads in both inches and metric and is 50 feet/15.24 meters.

PRODUCT UPDATE: Our ice thickness tapes are now made of nylon reinforced metal that is partially wrapped with a UV protected polyethylene vinyl casing to help support critical bending points.  These tapes now also come with a nylon bag and fastener that are used to secure the brass weight in place to help prevent the tape from unwinding when not in use.
